London is taking action to stay ahead of the floods. Partners across the capital have come together to make the city more resilient to surface water flooding, with the launch of the first-ever London Surface Water Strategy.
Created by the Flood Ready London partnership — including the Environment Agency, London Councils, London Fire Brigade, Mayor of London, Thames Water, and Transport for London — the new strategy brings together vital maps, data and insights to help protect homes, businesses and communities from flood risk.
Flood Ready London is also exploring practical, affordable ways to help Londoners prepare for flooding. Shaped by feedback from boroughs, community groups and environmental organisations, it’s all about working together across the city to keep London safe and ready for the future.
