LET Trustee and London Bombings Survivor, Thelma Stober spoke at the UN’s recent online event: Lessons in Recovery and Resilience Virtual Forum.
Thelma spoke about her own and the experience of others in healing and recovery. She emphasised that survivors and bereaved relatives “cannot and should not be left alone to deal with this”. She made the case for immediate, as well as medium and long-term help to recovery and to build peoples’ resilience. And she reminded the Forum that this resilience will certainly be tested in the weeks, months and years after a tragedy like the 7/7 bombing attacks on London.
