A dramatisation of the 2005 entitled “Suspect: the Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes” at Stockwell tube station is in the pipeline and is planned for broadcast on the Disney+ channel in 2025.
Etta Pictures at ITV Studios has recently contacted LET to say that it is seeking to provide people affected with information of its plans in advance of the marketing and release of the series. Survivors and bereaved relatives of 7/7 can get in touch with the producers of the drama directly at: [email protected].
Writing to LET the company says:
“The team has incorporated extensive in-depth research that has been approached with the utmost sensitivity and respect and in consultation with Jean Charles’s parents and other relatives.
“While the series does not recreate the explosions of 7 July, it will include some scenes of the aftermath of the bombings at Russell Square Station and Tavistock Square.”
