
In the last year, the London Emergencies Trust (LET) has not had to activate to respond to any incidents and has been able to remain a largely dormant organisation. However, the charity remains in a state of readiness to respond and has taken steps to ensure it remains a resilient organisation, prepared to act swiftly.
This means keeping in regular touch with London local authorities, funders and community organisations central to the successful delivery of the charity’s work in the past. This included a successful application for continuing support from the City Bridge Foundation to continue to help LET meet its operational costs from 2024 and over the following five years.
The Trustees have also taken steps to strengthen the charity’s governance and ability to respond to new situations which may arise by recruiting two additional trustees.
